What's this all about?
Good question. The idea, simply put, is that fans from around the world (that's probably you if you're reading this) can post the following types of information here:
All of these posts can then be read by anyone who comes across this site. The readers will not need any kind of login. Think of it for now as your area on this site - it works and functions exactly as the current news scroller / articles from the homepage does now. You can publish whatever you want here, provided it's non-offensive and not abusive etc. How does it work?First of all you need to register. I need to know your name, age, and a few other details, along with a site username and password. This is PURELY to try and stop this system being abused. No-one else will get any of this information. Once you have registered, your area is created. If you've any queries here, mail me. What then?Once you've registered and logged in, you will be presented with a screen that will allow you to add / edit or delete to your area. This is NOT a discussion board, so people for now will not be able to post replies to you in that way. This may be extended to allow for image uploads / people to have their own galleries etc. Admittedly this page needs to be tidied up, but everything works. I'm keen to get comments and feedback on how this might be improved, as I hadn't envisaged publicising it just yet. All help appreciated. If you're interested in having a look without signing up, logon using test as both username and password. Bear in mind that for now ordinary postings will not appear in the main scroller, but will only appear in your area. However, if someone posts a relevant story I can add those (as editor of the overall site) to the main scroller and news section, where the link would go to your area. |
